Why is it important to know if your site is optimized for the basics?  If it isn't optimized, the search engines might be overlooking you completely... I know from first hand experience with one of my own sites.  I thought it was perfect - great design, good photos, but the only way it ever came up on google is if I typed in my own NAME.  Who on the Internet is going to do that to find you or me for that matter???  Why else would I do this for you for free?  Suppose your site is linked to mine, if it is WEAK in the search engines eyes that dilutes my site rankings - if your site has a few of the basics covered, then that helps us all in the long run.

Did you know that you can also have too many keywords?  Penalized and even OVERLOOKED by the search engines - this also comes from personal experience. The same is true for your META description section...Non-existant = really not good // too long= no good // short or just right = best.
