Keyword Niche Listings

Alright, what the heck is that mouthful of gibberish supposed to mean?  It’s simple really, the search engines are focused on filling every search with appropriately ‘keyworded’ content right?  So if someone searches for a plastic surgeon in New York, and you happen to be a surgeon in New York, but your website isn’t properly keyworded – you’ll not turn up at the top of the search engine’s results.

What page does your website come up when you search for the terms that you wish to be found for?  If you are not on the first two to three pages of the major search engines – then there is work to be done – as you know, this is a highly competitive environment.

How could this help me?  When you have your name and keywords associated with you out on the internet, it really adds to the credibility if you have a broad reach.  So instead of sitting on your island (a website) you send out small boats to the other islands in an effort to spread the word – (for those who don’t make it to your island).  That’s the concept in a nutshell.

People can find you and your website by typing in your name as there is little competition for those searching for one individuals ‘name’, however, more importantly, do you know if they can find you by typing in the city + plastic surgeon or the state + plastic surgeon or do they type in “new york plastic surgeons”?

Check out the actual page where the listings are displayed Featured Plastic Surgeons Keep in mind, there is only one slot available for each city/state. You will own that spot, pure and simple.

PS-411 – A new Plastic Surgeon Directory

If you’ve managed to arrive here, then you’ve found the area that I intend to use initially to assist users in the sign up process… feel free to post questions and ideas for more functionality.  I’m open to comments and critiques equally.

As a new user (surgeon), you’ll have registered and completed the verification email process quickly and easily.  Many people stop at that point not realizing that there is more to signing up and appearing on the site – whether it be a free listing or an upgraded featured listing – etc.  So please, remember to return to the site (after being successfully registered) and begin the process of adding your listing.  Complete that process and the I will review the listing and make sure that all looks correct – then it will be published on the site.  You may return at any time to update information about you by loggin in to the site and selecting the edit button.  That’s it in a nutshell.
