Finding the top plastic or cosmetic surgeon in Los Angeles, New , London or anywhere in between can be a daunting process.  Remember, take your time.

After doing your research, one should choose the cosmetic surgeon that you feel most comfortable with in every way.  Obviously, you'll want to visit their website, but also search to see if they happen to have a blog, you might be able to tell more about them if they actually are writing in their own blog as opposed to a 'static' website that may have been stylized by a professional.

Aside from the obvious things to look for such as experience & credentials, a surgeon should assist you to manage your expectations.  For the client, this is as much a service as the actual procedure regardless if they are aware of this or not.  A safe and optimal outcome is not too much to expect.  There are a lot of resources online - use them and compare what you find.   This should help you make your decision.  Do not forget that international destinations may have what you need at the "right price"... perhaps, the "right price" for many is in the US.  Please don't sacrifice quality and safety for price.

Getting to know a Plastic Surgeon

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

1. Don't forget to take a look at the before and after photos - go to their website!... no photos? Hmm? NEXT!!!
   
2. Ask if they continue their education and are up to date with the latest techniques - do ask them to elaborate on "YES I have"
3. Certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery is advisable if you are considering this in the USA. (No back alley shops... you wouldn't send your car to the cheapest bodyshop, would you?)
4. After chatting on the phone, you'll want to meet in person to make sure you still feel that this is a good fit, but you already knew that.
5. Price should not always dictate your decision, again this is YOUR body, the cheapest bidder in any profession should raise a flag in your head.
